Ingredients
Scale
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup ricotta cheese
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 cup spinach, chopped finely
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon oregano, dried
1 teaspoon basil, dried
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup marinara sauce
Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a bowl, mix the ricotta, Parmesan, spinach, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish. Drizzle them with olive oil, seasoning both sides with salt and pepper.
Evenly spread the ricotta mixture over each chicken breast.
Pour the marinara sauce around the chicken in the baking dish.
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove the foil and continue baking uncovered for an additional 15–20 minutes, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and the ricotta is lightly browned.
Before serving, add fresh basil leaves for garnish to enhance the flavor.
