Ingredients
Scale
6 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
5 garlic cloves (minced)
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 tsp oregano
2 tbsp parsley (freshly chopped)
1/2 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tsp fresh ginger (grated)
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
Instructions
In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, honey, ketchup, soy sauce, oregano, and grated ginger. Whisk together until well combined and the honey is fully dissolved.
Place the chicken thighs in the slow cooker in a single layer, skin-side up. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 4-5 hours, or on HIGH for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender and pulls away from the bone.
Transfer the cooked chicken thighs to a serving plate and spoon the thickened sauce over each piece of chicken. Garnish with sesame seeds and freshly chopped parsley.
Notes
For best results, use bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs to maintain moisture and flavor.
The mode of cooking (LOW or HIGH) affects the tenderness of the chicken; LOW is preferred for fall-apart texture.
Customize the sauce by adjusting the level of red pepper flakes for desired spiciness.
