Ingredients
Scale
16 slices salami
8 cornichons
80 g cheddar cheese, cut into star shapes
8 wooden skewers, 10 cm length
Instructions
Using a small star-shaped cutter, cut cheddar cheese into uniform stars, approximately 1 cm thick.
Fold each salami slice in half and then again to form a triangular shape. For the base layer, skewer through the back of the fold for a wider appearance. Progressively shift the skewer position towards the front fold as you stack higher, creating a tapered tree shape.
Thread a cornichon above the final salami slice to represent the tree’s top.
Top each skewer with a cheddar cheese star to complete the decorative look.
Repeat assembly to create all skewers and arrange attractively on a platter.
Notes
Ensure the cheese is at room temperature for easier cutting.
Consider using different shapes of cheese for variety.
Garnish the platter with fresh herbs for added color.
