Ingredients
Scale
1 pound pizza dough
12 sticks string cheese or 12 ounces cheese, cut into sticks
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Marinara sauce, for dipping
Instructions
Portion the pizza dough into 12 equal pieces. On a lightly floured work surface, roll each portion into a rectangle approximately 4 by 3 inches.
Place one cheese stick on the short side of each dough rectangle. Roll the dough around the cheese, sealing the seam and pinching the ends closed.
Stir together melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Brush this mixture evenly over the rolled breadsticks and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
Preheat oven to 375°F. Arrange breadsticks on a parchment-lined baking sheet, ensuring space between each. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Allow breadsticks to cool briefly. Present warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add herbs or spices to the cheese filling.
Make sure to seal the dough tightly to prevent the cheese from leaking out during baking.
