- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- Pickles and additional cheese for topping (optional)
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent. Drain excess fat.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Stir in the cooked beef mixture, ketchup, mustard, and shredded cheddar cheese until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a greased pie dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pie is set and the top is golden brown.
- If desired, add pickles and additional cheese on top during the last 5 minutes of baking.
- Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
