1 (30 oz) bag frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
14 oz kielbasa sausage, sliced into thin rounds
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup sour cream
1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
½ cup milk
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
¼ tsp black pepper
1 cup crushed cornflakes or buttery crackers (optional for topping)
2 tbsp melted butter (for topping, optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine hash browns, sliced kielbasa, cheddar cheese, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, milk, ¼ cup melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
Stir until fully combined and transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
(Optional) In a small bowl, combine crushed cornflakes or buttery cracker crumbs with 2 tbsp melted butter and sprinkle evenly over the top of the casserole.
Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly and the casserole is heated through.
Let cool for 5–10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
This casserole can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
Add more vegetables like bell peppers or onions for extra flavor.
