Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground chicken
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 small onion, grated
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional)
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil (for cooking)
1 cup Greek yogurt
1 clove garlic, minced (for yogurt)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt (for yogurt)
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix ground chicken, garlic, onion, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, chili flakes (if using), breadcrumbs, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
With slightly wet hands, shape the mixture into 12 small oblong koftas or patties. Place them on a tray and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the koftas in batches, cooking 4–5 minutes per side until browned and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Serve koftas warm with garlic yogurt on the side or drizzled over. Garnish with herbs or chili flakes if desired.
Notes
Adjust spices according to your taste preference.
Refrigerating the koftas helps them hold their shape while cooking.
