A simple and delightful pastry filled with cream cheese and rich chocolate, perfect for breakfast or as a sweet treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chunks
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Roll out the crescent roll dough on a clean surface and cut it into triangles.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture and a few chocolate chunks at the wide end of each triangle and roll them up.
  5. Arrange the rolled pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Beat the egg and brush it over the tops of the pastries.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Make sure your cream cheese is softened for better mixing.
