Churro Saltine Toffee is a delicious sweet treat that combines the flavors of cinnamon and toffee with a crunchy texture.

  • 40 Saltine crackers
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Melt butter and brown sugar in a saucepan, stirring until it reaches a boil.
  4. Pour the toffee mixture over the crackers and bake for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee.
  6. Combine granulated sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle the mixture over the melted chocolate.
  7. Finish with a light sprinkle of sea salt.
  8. Allow to cool completely, then break into pieces and enjoy.

Notes

  • Make sure to keep an eye on the toffee while baking to avoid burning.
  • This treat can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
  • For a spicier flavor, add more cinnamon.
