Ingredients
Scale
1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
1 cup fresh or canned cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
Prepare the Puff Pastry: Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to smooth out any creases. Cut the pastry into 12 equal strips, approximately 1 inch wide.
Assemble the Twists: Take one strip of puff pastry and place a teaspoon of cranberry sauce at one end. Then, add a couple of small pieces of Brie cheese over the cranberry. If you’re using honey, drizzle a little over the Brie for a touch of sweetness.
Twist and Seal: Fold the pastry over the filling, sealing the edges. Then, twist the pastry strip from both ends in opposite directions to create a spiral. Place the twisted pastry on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat this with the remaining strips.
Add Rosemary and Egg Wash: Once all the twists are arranged on the baking sheet, brush each twist lightly with the beaten egg. Sprinkle fresh or dried rosemary over the top, and a pinch of sea salt for added flavor.
Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the twists are golden brown and puffed up.
Serve: Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. These puff pastry twists can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature.
Notes
For a stronger rosemary flavor, use fresh rosemary.
The honey is optional but adds a nice sweetness.
These twists are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a day.
