Delightful crispy crab rangoons filled with a creamy crab mixture, fried to golden perfection.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup crab meat, chopped small
  • 2 green onions, finely sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Crunchy wonton wrappers

Instructions

  1. Combine the softened cream cheese, crab meat, sliced green onions, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder in a mixing bowl.
  2. Take a wonton wrapper and place about a teaspoon of the filling in the center.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water and fold it over the filling, sealing the edges tightly.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat until hot.
  5. Fry the filled wontons in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  6. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve warm as an appetizer.

Notes

For best results, keep the crab mixture cold when folding wontons. Don’t skip sealing with water, and fry in small batches to maintain oil temperature.
