Crunchy fried chicken tenders served in taco shells with lettuce, tomato, cheese, and optional sour cream or taco sauce — ready in under an hour.

  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Taco shells
  • Lettuce (shredded)
  • Tomato (diced)
  • Cheese (shredded)
  • Sour cream or taco sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken tenders in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat until shimmering (about 350–375°F).
  4. Dredge the marinated chicken in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
  5. Fry the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes per side.
  6. Prepare taco shells and fill with fried chicken.
  7. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and cheese.
  8. Add sour cream or taco sauce if desired.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy your crispy fried chicken tacos!

Notes

Let the chicken drain on a rack to keep it crisp. Use a thermometer for best frying results.
