  • 1 block extra-firm tofu
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions sliced

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu for at least 20 minutes to remove excess moisture.
  2. Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes.
  3. Coat the tofu evenly with cornstarch.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Fry tofu in batches until golden and crispy on all sides.
  6. Combine soy sauce, honey, garlic, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and water in a saucepan.
  7. Simmer the sauce until slightly thickened.
  8. Add tofu to the sauce and toss gently to coat.
  9. Serve immediately with sesame seeds and green onions.
