Crispy Hot Honey Feta Chicken is an impressive and flavorful dish that combines the sweetness of honey, the heat of chili, and the creaminess of feta cheese, all encased in crispy chicken.
Combine the honey, hot sauce, and chilli flakes in a bowl and warm in the microwave (about 20 seconds). Stir and let cool.
Horizontally slice the chicken breasts to create 4 even pieces. Mix the paprika, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, cayenne, and black pepper in a small bowl.
Set up three shallow dishes: one with flour and half the seasoning, one with beaten egg, and the last with Panko and the remaining seasoning. Dredge each chicken piece in the flour, then the egg, and finally the breadcrumbs, placing them on a tray.
Heat enough oil in a large pan over medium-high heat until hot. Fry the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and crispy. Transfer to a wire rack.
Cover the chicken with crumbled feta and grill until golden and slightly crispy on top.
Serve with hot honey drizzled over the top and enjoy. Store leftover honey in the fridge.
Notes
Hot Honey can be made or purchased. Adjust spiciness with chili flakes or hot sauce as desired.
You can prepare the hot honey in advance and store it tightly in the fridge.
