A delicious and easy-to-make meal combining kielbasa, fresh green beans, and baby potatoes, cooked in a slow cooker for a flavorful dish.

  • 1 pound kielbasa or smoked sausage, sliced into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed or 2 cans (15 ounces each) green beans, drained
  • 1 pound baby potatoes, halved
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped, optional
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese, optional

Instructions

  1. Place kielbasa, green beans, potatoes, and chopped onion into the slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper over the mixture.
  3. Pour chicken broth evenly over the ingredients. Distribute butter pieces on top.
  4. Cover and cook on low setting for 6 to 7 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until potatoes are tender and flavors meld.
  5. Gently stir halfway through the cooking time to promote even blending and distribution.
  6. Before serving, top with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
