Ingredients
Scale
1 package chocolate cake mix (15.25 oz)
3 cups milk
2 packages instant vanilla pudding mix (3.4 oz each)
1 container whipped topping (8 oz)
1 package crushed Oreo cookies (20 oz)
1 cup gummy worms
to taste edible grass
for garnish fresh berries (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions, then pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
Bake the cake for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely.
Once the cake is cooled, prepare the instant vanilla pudding by whisking it with milk in a large bowl until smooth and thickened. Let it sit for about 5 minutes.
Fold the whipped topping into the vanilla pudding until well combined.
Once the cake is cool, crumble it into large pieces directly in the baking dish. Evenly spread the pudding mixture over the crumbled cake to create a layer that resembles ‘dirt.’
Generously sprinkle the crushed Oreo cookies over the pudding layer to resemble dirt in a garden.
Decorate the top with gummy worms and sprinkle edible grass for a fun Easter touch.
Allow the casserole to chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to let the flavors meld together.
Notes
You can use different types of candy for decoration.
Top with fresh berries for added flavor and presentation.
