Delicious and visually appealing pinwheels made with ham and cheddar, perfect for Easter brunch or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of crescent roll dough (or pizza dough)
  • 8 oz sliced ham
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)
  • Egg wash (1 egg mixed with 1 tablespoon water)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare your baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  3. Roll out the crescent dough to form a rectangle.
  4. Spread Dijon mustard evenly across the dough.
  5. Layer the sliced ham evenly on top of the mustard.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the ham.
  7. Starting from one end, carefully roll the dough to make a log.
  8. Slice the log into about 1-inch pieces.
  9. Place the pinwheels on the baking sheet and brush with egg wash.
  10. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  11. Let them cool for a moment before serving.

Notes

Experiment with fillings by swapping out ham for turkey or adding veggies. Don’t skip the egg wash for better appearance and flavor.
