An easy and delicious burrata cheese appetizer that will impress your guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces burrata cheese
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/3 cup sliced, pitted Castelvetrano olives
  • 2 tablespoons capers, drained
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons toasted pine nuts
  • Kosher salt
  • sliced French baguette for serving

Instructions

  1. Gently pull the burrata apart and place it on a serving platter.
  2. Add olive oil, garlic, and thyme to a saucepan. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes until the garlic gets fragrant. Don’t let the oil simmer or let the garlic brown!
  3. Let the olive oil cool for about 5 minutes until it comes to room temperature.
  4. Pour garlic olive oil over the burrata.
  5. Sprinkle olives, capers, lemon zest, pine nuts, and a large pinch of salt in an even layer across the burrata.
  6. Serve with sliced French bread and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use this recipe as a blueprint and make it your own! If you don’t fancy olives, leave them out and add more capers!
  • If you aren’t a big fan of lemon, omit it and try sun-dried tomatoes instead!
  • Burrata pairs beautifully with many different flavors, so customize as you wish!
  • Make sure to use the freshest ingredients to ensure the burrata shines.
