Simple, elegant pastries made from puff pastry wrapped around horn molds, baked until golden, then filled with lightly sweetened whipped cream and fresh strawberries.

Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Egg wash (1 egg beaten with 1 tablespoon water)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into strips.
  3. Wrap each strip around horn molds, brushing with egg wash to seal.
  4. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Whip the cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  6. Once the pastry is cool, remove from molds and fill each horn with whipped cream and chopped strawberries.
  7. Serve immediately or chill until serving.

Notes

Chill the wrapped horns before baking for crisper layers. Do not fill shells while they are hot.
