  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup flower-infused jam (lavender, rose, or elderflower)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour and salt in another bowl. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
  5. Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  6. Make an indentation in the center of each ball using your thumb.
  7. Fill each indentation with a small spoonful of flower-infused jam.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until lightly golden around the edges.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
