French Fry Casserole is a comforting and hearty meal featuring layers of seasoned ground beef, mixed vegetables, crispy French fries, and melted cheddar cheese, perfect for family gatherings.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen French fries
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic until the beef is fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, frozen mixed vegetables, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spread the beef mixture evenly across the bottom.
  5. Layer the frozen French fries on top of the beef mixture, spreading them out evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the French fries.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the fries are golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize the mixed vegetables according to your preference.
  • For a spicier version, add some diced jalapeños or hot sauce.
  • This casserole can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated before baking.
