Ingredients
Scale
2 cups unsweetened applesauce
1 cup yogurt (plain or vanilla)
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup chopped nuts (such as almonds or walnuts, optional)
1/4 cup dried fruit (raisins or cranberries, optional)
Silicone mold or ice cube tray
Instructions
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the applesauce and yogurt. Stir until well blended and smooth.
Add honey or maple syrup if you prefer sweeter bites; this step is optional.
Sprinkle in the cinnamon and add the vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly to incorporate the flavors evenly.
Gently fold in the chopped nuts and dried fruit if using. Ensure that they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
Carefully pour or spoon the mixture into the silicone molds or ice cube tray compartments, filling them almost to the top.
Place the mold or tray on a flat surface in the freezer to ensure that the bites will freeze evenly.
Freeze for at least 3 hours or until the bites are completely solid.
Once frozen, remove the bites from the molds or trays. If they are difficult to remove, let them sit at room temperature for a couple of minutes, or twist the tray slightly to loosen them.
Serve immediately or store them in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month.
Notes
Experiment with different flavorings or mix-ins according to personal preferences.
These snack bites can be enjoyed as desserts or a healthy snack option.
Ensure the bites are fully frozen before attempting to remove them from the molds for best results.
