Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 fresh baguette
  • 8 oz cremini or button mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick pieces and arrange on a baking sheet.
  2. Drizzle olive oil over each slice and sprinkle lightly with salt. Bake for about 10 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  4. Toss in sliced mushrooms and cook until tender (5-7 minutes), seasoning with salt and pepper.
  5. Remove from heat, stir in chopped parsley for freshness.
  6. Generously spoon the sautéed mushroom mixture onto each toasted baguette slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese on top before serving.
  • Can substitute mushrooms with your choice of wild mushrooms for a gourmet touch.
