- 1 fresh baguette
- 8 oz cremini or button mushrooms, sliced
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick pieces and arrange on a baking sheet.
- Drizzle olive oil over each slice and sprinkle lightly with salt. Bake for about 10 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Toss in sliced mushrooms and cook until tender (5-7 minutes), seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Remove from heat, stir in chopped parsley for freshness.
- Generously spoon the sautéed mushroom mixture onto each toasted baguette slice and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese on top before serving.
- Can substitute mushrooms with your choice of wild mushrooms for a gourmet touch.
