  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glazing)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glazing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually blend in the flour mixture until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips and pecans until evenly distributed.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden and centers look soft.
  9. Let cookies cool on sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Mix the powdered sugar and milk for the glaze until smooth, then drizzle over cooled cookies.
