8 oz halloumi cheese
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp fresh thyme (or 1 tsp dried thyme)
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp water
Fresh thyme sprigs (for garnish)
Optional: Crushed walnuts or pecans for garnish
Instructions
Prepare the Halloumi: Slice the halloumi into 1/2-inch thick slices.
Pan-Fry the Halloumi: Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add halloumi slices and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
Make the Honey Glaze: In a small saucepan, combine honey, lemon juice, and water over low heat. Stir until smooth and warmed through. Optional: Add fresh thyme to the glaze for extra flavor.
Serve: Arrange the fried halloumi on a platter and drizzle with the honey glaze. Garnish with fresh thyme and optional crushed nuts.
