Gooey Apple Caramel Bombs are a delightful sweet treat made with biscuit dough, fresh apples, and rich caramel, perfect for satisfying your cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (e.g., Pillsbury Grands)
  • 8 soft caramel candies (e.g., Kraft caramels)
  • 12 fresh apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and diced
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • Optional: powdered sugar or caramel sauce for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Peel and dice the apples into small chunks. Toss them in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar until well coated.
  3. Flatten each biscuit slightly and place a few apple chunks and one caramel candy in the center.
  4. Fold up the dough edges and pinch tightly to seal the filling inside.
  5. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with extra cinnamon sugar.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  7. Allow to cool slightly, then drizzle with caramel sauce or dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

  • Use tart apples like Granny Smith for the best flavor contrast.
  • Ensure dough is sealed well to prevent caramel from leaking out.
  • For a flakier texture, try using puff pastry or pie crust instead of biscuit dough.
  • Can be prepped ahead and baked fresh when ready.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerated for up to 5 days.
