A quick and flavorful ground beef and broccoli rice bowl, ideal for a fulfilling meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, stirring for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the soy sauce and oyster sauce (if using), mixing well to combine.
  4. Add the broccoli florets to the skillet, cover, and cook for about 5 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender but still bright green.
  5. In a separate pot, heat the cooked rice if necessary.
  6. To serve, place a generous scoop of rice in a bowl, top with the ground beef and broccoli mixture, and drizzle with sesame oil.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, consider adding chili flakes to the beef mixture.
  • This recipe can be made with any ground meat of your choice.
