1 pound ground beef
1 can (15 oz) green beans, drained
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
½ cup milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup French fried onions
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula, then drain excess fat.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
Bake for 25 minutes until bubbly and cheese is melted.
Remove from oven, sprinkle French fried onions on top, and bake an additional 5–10 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
For added flavor, you can mix in some diced onions or bell peppers.
This casserole can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
