Ingredients
Scale
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
1 package refrigerated pizza dough
1 cup marinara or pizza sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup pepperoni slices, chopped (optional)
Olive oil for brushing
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and cut into 6-8 even rectangles.
On one side of each rectangle, spread a spoonful of pizza sauce, leaving a small border around the edges.
Top with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni (if using), and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
Fold the dough over to create a pocket and press the edges firmly with a fork to seal.
Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
Lightly brush or spray with olive oil for extra crispiness.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and puffy.
Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with extra marinara sauce for dipping!
Notes
Feel free to customize the fillings with your favorite pizza toppings.
These pockets can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
