A delicious and easy homemade breakfast casserole made with crescent roll dough, breakfast sausage, eggs, and cheese, perfect for make-ahead meals.

  • 1 package crescent roll dough
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 1 and 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray or butter.
  2. Unroll crescent roll dough and press into the bottom of the baking dish, sealing seams.
  3. In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned, then drain excess grease.
  4. Spread sausage evenly over the crescent roll layer.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the sausage.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  7. Pour egg mixture evenly over the cheese and sausage.
  8. (Optional) Cover and refrigerate overnight if making ahead.
  9. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  10. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes until eggs are set and top is golden.
  11. Let cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
  12. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • This casserole can be made ahead and refrigerated overnight for easy preparation in the morning.
