Ingredients

  • 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons mustard oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 12 green chilies, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds; let them crackle.
  3. Add chopped onion, garlic, and ginger; sauté until onions are translucent.
  4. Stir in turmeric powder and green chilies.
  5. Add chopped cabbage and salt; mix well.
  6. Cover and cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until cabbage is tender.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
