Ingredients
Scale
450 grams cream cheese, softened
100 grams sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
70 grams cooked bacon, crumbled
2 jalapeños, finely chopped
25 grams green onions, chopped
0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
0.25 teaspoon salt
0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
Additional chopped bacon for coating
Additional chopped jalapeños for coating
Additional chopped green onions for coating
Instructions
Using a large mixing bowl, stir the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the shredded cheddar, cooked bacon, finely chopped jalapeños, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly to ensure a uniform mixture.
Transfer the mixture onto a large sheet of plastic wrap. Use the wrap to form the mixture into a firm ball. Wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least 60 minutes to allow the texture to set and the flavours to meld.
Remove the chilled cheese ball from the wrap and roll it in additional chopped bacon, jalapeños, and green onions. Place on a serving dish and present with an assortment of vegetables, crackers, or chips.
Notes
For added heat, leave the seeds in the jalapeños.
This cheese ball can be made a day in advance for convenience.
