Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • Zest of 1 orange

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water, letting it sit for about 5 minutes until it blooms.
  2. Combine the orange juice, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a medium mixing bowl and whisk until blended.
  3. Heat the gelatin mixture in the microwave for 10-15 seconds until dissolved, then stir it into the orange mixture.
  4. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  5. Fold the whipped cream into the orange mixture gently with a rubber spatula.
  6. Pour the mousse into serving cups and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
