Delicious Mediterranean Chicken Gyros served with a creamy feta tzatziki sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pita breads
  • 1 cup cucumber, grated
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, mix grated cucumber, Greek yogurt, feta cheese, lemon juice, and minced garlic to make the tzatziki sauce.
  3. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the marinated chicken until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Warm the pita breads on the grill for a minute on each side.
  5. Assemble the gyros by placing chicken in the pita, topping with tzatziki sauce, and garnishing with fresh parsley.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
