Adorable chick-shaped deviled eggs that are perfect for parties and gatherings. Easy to make and customizable to your taste!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Paprika for garnish
  • Olives (for eyes)
  • Carrots (for beaks)

Instructions

  1. Hard boil the eggs: Start by placing the eggs in a pot of cold water. Bring it to a boil. Once it’s boiling, cover and remove from heat, letting them sit for 12 minutes.
  2. Cool and peel: After the eggs have rested, transfer them to an ice bath to cool for about 10 minutes. This helps with the peeling. Once cool, gently crack and peel the eggs.
  3. Slice and separate: Cut the eggs in half lengthwise. Carefully scoop out the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl.
  4. Mix it up: Mash the yolks until smooth and creamy, then stir in your mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, and salt and pepper. Mix until everything is well combined.
  5. Fill ’em up: Spoon or pipe the creamy yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
  6. Add some flair: Cut small pieces of olives for the eyes and tiny triangles of carrots for the beaks.
  7. Garnish: Sprinkle paprika on top for a finishing touch.
