Mint Oreo Truffles are rich, chocolatey bites with a refreshing hint of mint. Perfect for any occasion, these treats are easy to make and a definite crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package Mint Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (for melting)
  • 1 tablespoon peppermint extract (optional)
  • Sprinkles or crushed Oreos (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Crush the Mint Oreo cookies using a food processor or a ziplock bag with a rolling pin until fine crumbs.
  2. Mix the cookie crumbs with softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl until well combined. If desired, add peppermint extract.
  3. Roll the mixture into balls, about 1-inch in diameter, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Freeze the balls for about 30 minutes until firm.
  5. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler in 30-second intervals, stirring frequently.
  6. Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, ensuring they’re fully coated, and let excess chocolate drip off.
  7. Decorate with sprinkles or crushed Oreos before the chocolate sets.
  8. Let the chocolate harden before serving. Optionally, refrigerate for a few minutes to speed up the process.

Notes

Keep truffles in the refrigerator to maintain their shape. They can also be frozen for up to three months.
