A delightful balance of savory and slightly sweet flavors with a nutty pecan crust on tender tilapia fillets.

  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 eggs
  • Fresh lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the finely chopped pecans, panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a shallow bowl.
  3. Beat the eggs in another bowl until well combined.
  4. Dip each tilapia fillet into the egg mixture, ensuring it gets thoroughly coated.
  5. Transfer the coated fillet into the pecan mixture, pressing gently to ensure it is well coated.
  6. Place the coated fillets on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle lightly with olive oil.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and the crust is golden brown.
  8. Serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges.

Notes

You can prepare the pecan mixture ahead of time. For air fryer cooking, set to 375°F (190°C) for about 10 minutes.
