The Pink Lady is a classic cocktail known for its beautiful pale pink color and frothy texture. It’s a delightful mix of gin, apple brandy, grenadine, and lemon juice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 oz gin
  • 1/2 oz apple brandy (or calvados)
  • 1/4 oz grenadine
  • 3/4 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 egg white (optional)
  • Ice cubes
  • Thin apple slice (optional, for garnish)
  • Edible rose petal or small edible flower (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Chill a coupe glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes to ensure the drink stays cold.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine gin, apple brandy, grenadine, lemon juice, and egg white (if using). Shake vigorously without ice for 10–15 seconds to create a frothy emulsion.
  3. Add ice to the shaker and shake again for 15–20 seconds to chill the drink and further emulsify the egg white.
  4. Double strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe glass to remove any ice shards and ensure a smooth, frothy texture.
  5. Place a thin apple slice on the rim of the glass or float it delicately on the surface. Alternatively, add an edible rose petal or a small edible flower for a romantic touch.

Notes

  • The egg white is optional, but it gives the cocktail a lovely frothiness.
  • Adjust the amount of grenadine depending on your desired sweetness.
