Ingredients
Scale
1/2 cup Butter
1 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
1 tablespoon Red Food Coloring
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 teaspoon White Vinegar
2 large Eggs
1 cup All-Purpose Flour
1/2 teaspoon Salt
8 ounces Cream Cheese
1 large Egg Yolk
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8 inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it well.
In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, cocoa powder, red food coloring, vanilla extract, and white vinegar. Add eggs one at a time, incorporating each until smooth. Gently fold in flour and salt until just combined, reserving 1/4 cup of this batter for swirling.
In a separate bowl, blend the cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and remaining vanilla extract until creamy and well combined.
Spread the prepared brownie batter evenly across the bottom of the baking pan. Layer the cheesecake mixture on top uniformly. Dollop the reserved brownie batter over the cheesecake layer and swirl gently with a toothpick to create a marbled effect.
Bake the brownies for 30–35 minutes until the edges are set and the center has a slight jiggle. Allow to cool completely before slicing into squares.
Optional: Dust with powdered sugar for a sweet finish before serving.
Notes
Brown sugar can enhance flavor depth in the brownies.
For a dairy-free option, substitute butter with margarine.
Use beet powder instead of red food coloring for a natural alternative.
For a gluten-free option, use a gluten-free flour blend.
