Ingredients
Scale
4 English muffins, split
4 slices cheddar or American cheese
Butter or oil for cooking
4 sausage patties
4 large eggs
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Instructions
Butter the split English muffins and toast them in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown. Transfer toasted muffins to a plate and set aside.
Place sausage patties in the same skillet and cook over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes per side until well browned and fully cooked. Remove from skillet and keep warm.
Lightly grease egg ring molds or mason jar lids and place them in the skillet. Crack one egg into each mold. Cook over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the egg whites set and the yolks reach preferred firmness. Season with salt and pepper.
Layer each bottom half of the toasted muffin with a slice of cheese, followed by a cooked sausage patty and an egg. Cover with the top half of the muffin.
Serve immediately while warm, or wrap individually for reheating as needed.
Notes
Feel free to substitute the cheese with your favorite type.
For added flavor, consider adding a slice of tomato or some hot sauce.
