A delicious blend of spicy Korean ground beef served over fluffy jasmine rice, capturing the essence of Korean cuisine.

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 4 cups cooked jasmine rice

Instructions

  1. Cook the Jasmine Rice: Prepare the jasmine rice by following the package instructions. Keep the rice warm.
  2. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, pour in the sesame oil. Add the ground beef and brown for about 2–3 minutes.
  3. Add Aromatics: Stir in minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Cook for an additional 1–2 minutes.
  4. Mix in Saucy Goodness: Pour in soy sauce, dark brown sugar, and rice vinegar. Simmer for about 2–3 minutes until thickened.
  5. Finish It Off: Toss in three-quarters of the chopped green onions. Remove from heat.
  6. Serve It Up: Dish out the beef mixture over bowls of jasmine rice and top with remaining green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
