A delightful dessert combining velvety cream cheese and juicy strawberries under a fluffy cake layer.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) strawberry cake mix
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the cream cheese and sugar in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Spread the strawberries evenly into a greased 9×13 baking dish.
  4. Blend the cake mix, melted butter, water, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Combine the cake batter over the strawberries, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool slightly before serving warm or chilled.
