Sushi Bake is a delightful and easy-to-make dish that combines the flavors of sushi in a baked format, perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb imitation crab
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup kewpie mayo, plus more for topping
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha, plus more for topping
  • 4 cups cooked sushi rice
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons furikake seasoning, divided
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Nori, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F.
  2. Shred/finely dice the imitation crab and add to a large bowl, mix in the cream cheese, kewpie mayo, and sriracha until completely blended, set aside.
  3. In the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish, add rice and drizzle with vinegar, then toss to combine and flatten down into an even layer.
  4. Sprinkle on half the furikake, top with the crab mixture, and then sprinkle remaining furikake.
  5. Drizzle with additional mayo and sriracha if desired, then bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until heated through.
  6. Sprinkle with green onions, and serve with nori.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add more sriracha to the crab mixture.
  • Use sushi rice for the best texture and flavor.
  • Ensure the cream cheese is softened to mix easily.
