- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup and 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1 large egg

- 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder (for coating)
- In a pan, combine water, butter, salt, and sugar. Bring to a boil over high heat.
- Once boiling, reduce heat, gradually add flour, stirring until smooth. Turn off heat and remove pan.
- Transfer dough to a mixing bowl and let cool for 4-5 minutes. Add egg and vanilla, mix until smooth.
- Pipe dough into baskets of preheated air fryer at 375°F (190°C), ensuring not to overcrowd.
- Brush churros with melted butter. Cook in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Roll cooked churros in cinnamon sugar to coat.
- Serve warm with chocolate syrup, honey, or Nutella as dips.
