Ingredients
Scale
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 egg
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup beef broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
In a bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Form the mixture into patties about 1 inch thick.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and whisk constantly to make a roux, cooking for about 1-2 minutes.
Gradually add beef broth while whisking to ensure no lumps form. Stir in heavy cream, garlic powder, and onion powder. Let the gravy simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
Return the patties to the skillet and spoon the gravy over the top. Simmer for another 5-7 minutes, until the patties are cooked through.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetables.
