Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into patties about 1 inch thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and whisk constantly to make a roux, cooking for about 1-2 minutes.
  5. Gradually add beef broth while whisking to ensure no lumps form. Stir in heavy cream, garlic powder, and onion powder. Let the gravy simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
  6. Return the patties to the skillet and spoon the gravy over the top. Simmer for another 5-7 minutes, until the patties are cooked through.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetables.

Notes

  • Ensure the patties are cooked through before serving.
  • You can customize the seasoning according to your taste.
