1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs (cut into strips)
3 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon flour
1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, paprika, coriander, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Add chicken strips, mix well, and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Brown the marinated chicken in a skillet over medium-high heat for 6 to 8 minutes. Set aside.
Melt butter in the same pan, whisk in flour, then slowly add milk and cream. Stir in Parmesan, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
Add the cooked chicken back to the pan and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For a spicier dish, include more cayenne pepper.
Can be served with rice or flatbread for a complete meal.
