- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- Coarse sugar or edible glitter, for decoration (optional)
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl; set aside.
- Beat softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until creamy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well, then blend in vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the flour mixture on low speed until just combined.
- Fold in semi-sweet and white chocolate chips with a spatula.
- Drop rounded tablespoonfuls onto prepared sheets, sprinkle with coarse sugar if desired, and bake for 9–11 minutes.
- Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
