Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • Coarse sugar or edible glitter, for decoration (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl; set aside.
  3. Beat softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until creamy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well, then blend in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix in the flour mixture on low speed until just combined.
  6. Fold in semi-sweet and white chocolate chips with a spatula.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls onto prepared sheets, sprinkle with coarse sugar if desired, and bake for 9–11 minutes.
  8. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

  • Store cookies in an airtight container for freshness.
  • Optional: Reserve a few white chocolate chips for topping before baking.
