  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 head of butter or iceberg lettuce
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion, garlic, and ginger; sauté until the onion turns translucent.
  3. Add ground turkey and cook until it turns golden brown.
  4. Stir in red bell pepper and mushrooms; let them soften.
  5. Pour in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil; mix well.
  6. Remove from heat and fold in the green onions.
  7. Serve turkey mixture in lettuce leaves, garnished with sesame seeds.
