Transform your ordinary steak into something extraordinary with this simple, sweet, and tangy marinade.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary (optional)
  • 1 pound steak of your choice

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and dried rosemary in a bowl.
  2. Marinate the steak by placing it in a resealable bag or shallow dish, pouring the marinade over it, and massaging the marinade into the meat.
  3. Seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 120 minutes, or overnight for best results.
  4. Preheat your grill over medium-high heat.
  5. Remove the steak from the marinade (discard the marinade).
  6. Grill the steak for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness is achieved.
  7. Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Allow the steak to marinate overnight for a deeper flavor. A meat thermometer can help ensure precise cooking.
