  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon pure almond extract
  • 0.25 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 beaten egg (for brushing)
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the pie crust by pressing it into a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. Make the filling by combining blackberries, sugar, flour, and almond extract in a mixing bowl.
  4. Assemble the tart by pouring the filling into the crust and sprinkling sliced almonds on top.
  5. Brush the edges of the crust with the beaten egg.
  6. Bake for about 35 minutes until the filling bubbles and the crust is golden brown.
  7. Cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and slice.

Notes

For best results, prepare the crust a day in advance. If you are short on time, consider using an air fryer and adjust the cooking time to 20-25 minutes.
